Saw these amazing trunks on a recent trip to the Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk Horn, Iowa with my family.
How eery is it to think of the families/people that packed their belongings in these so long ago?!
I highly doubt they thought their trunks were going to be in a museum a hundred years later…(is someone going to want my beloved Claiborne suitcase in a museum someday?)
